I moved away from home where there was a pretty well respected shop that I could take my car to. Then I moved to Carbondale, Illinois to attend SIU-Carbondale. I just needed to know if there are any good shops down in this part of state. Maybe around St. Louis? Speed Inc is pretty amazing from what I hear, but they're up close to chicago, and that's like a 5 hour drive for me.... one way. I am looking to get a tune and possibly some other stuff done here pretty soon so any help would be great. Thanks guys!

im heading down to outlaw motorsports, i havent heard anything but good things from them, and after talking to them it sounds like they know whats going on

If you're going to come all the way up to the Chicago 'burbs, go to FLP ( www.flp2win.com ). That would be your best choice, IMO.

I'm trying to stay away from having to drive all the way up to Chicago. It's a hell of a long round trip for a tune. But thanks, I've heard of FLP as well. Very good shop from what I hear.

I understand not wanting to drive 5 hours though, but should you decide to come up this way, FLP will not let you down.

Redline Motor Sports. they specialize in F-bodys. its in herculaneum, Mo (close to STL)

St. Louis is the closest city to that area, it's a great place to retire and if you're into the outdoors but no so hot for the local speed scene.

How do you figure that? There may be bigger scenese elsewhere, but if you into street you got south county, and if you like the track Gateway Internation has test and tune and their super street car challenge which is fun as hell and also the Midnight madness nights. Usually a lot of F-bodies at gateway too! Not to mention Fastlouis.com is a huge F-body site for STL area f-bodies. You might ask on there about shops!
