Default wheelies and 10 bolt

I am just wondering how people there are out there that have yanked the front wheels of the ground(even an inch) with the 10 bolt?

ok, a few special cases....but if you have enough power and enough grip to lift the front wheels, you should EXPECT the 10-bolt to break, because it will, soon...

If you don't rip the Spider Gears out of it, you will destroy the Ring & Pinion. I have done both of those, and that is putting about 340 to the ground.
I'm definately getting a 9" with the new setup though..

A guy down the road from me lifted them from a BRIEF moment while cutting 1.5x 60's. 4.10's, stock axles, and slicks.

Plenty of people have. I've seen locals do it plenty. There are lots of 10 bolt cars out there doing just fine. You only hear about the broken ones. Remember: on the internet, they are always exaggerating this kind of stuff.

That said, I'm saving for a new rear because I don't want to be one of the broken ones.

I was just wondering, I figured people do it all the time with a4 or a3 cars, but It doesnt take a smart person to know whats going to happen next.

Im scared of my 10 bolt. I have never done a burnout or revved and dumped the clutch in my year of owning my car. But after the summer i will have enough money saved up for a 9".

everything about the 10bolt is week.. if you dont break it, youre stressing something to the point that it will eventually break..

i had a bearing from my LSD put a hole in the bottom of the housing that i could stick my pinky in and this was in a 99 a4 w/ 2.73s k&n fipk and loudmouth.. I just gave it a punch from 60 and it started clicking louder and louder and boom.... if you think gear oil smells like **** normally.. you should smell it burning off your exhaust pipes.
