when I was 18 I owned my 65 Impala SS (High school car) and my freshman year in College I bought my Trans Am.
I had both cars on one insurance policy under my parents name, but with my as primary driver on both and with my name on the policy.
I paid 250, if I remember correctly, a month. But that is with discounts. State Farm would deduct a percentage if I did certain stuff. Like I was on the deans list, so they took off 10%. I was all A's Honor Roll in high school theres another 10% discount. All in All, I had like 5 discounts. So do good in school and your insurance goes down. They dont tell people about these discounts, but they are there. Oh yea if you went to a driving school before you got your licence that was a 15% discount the first few years.

Just try to pay for it without a loan so you can get liability, full coverage will kill you.

My neighbor tried to buy my 97 trans am. He said it would cost him $230 a month. I beleive he was 19 or 20. sorry I know its a jip. I was a perfect driver and I just got *** raped with insurance when I was that age. the Insurance shouldn't be more than the car payment. thats prejidice when you think about it.

Mine in NJ was high as hell for me at that age, soon as i hit 21 it came down, than when i hit 22 it fell even further. Last time i checked its just under 1600 for full coverage.

When I got my car I was 20, and was paying $230ish a month for full coverage, squeaky clean history. Expect to pay a lot.
