Default Camaro seat back failures

I had a real quick question. I just wrecked my car a couple days ago, I know I know, I'm an *** hole. But does anyone know if there were any recalls or TSB's for the seat back on the Camaros? In my wreck I backed into a wall, and my seat just flew back. Now it take barely any pressure to move it, the locking mechanism is toast. I know I am a pretty big guy, but I thought that car seats were supposed to be a lot stronger then that. I hit the wall doing maybe 20-25. What scares me is if I were to have ever been hit from behind by someone doing maybe 40 could seriously injure me. I don't want to get another F-body if my car is totaled if this is an ongoing problem. Has anyone else had this happen?

Are you sure your seat was fully locked? I've done that before (on manual seats) move my seat, think its locked and turns out it wasn't. Drive away then get the **** scared out of me when my seat jams back a couple notches.

If it was an electric seat then disregard all of the above.

I just checked dealerworld and according to them the only bulletin is about the seat backs fading. that doesnt mean it never happened ,but if it was a relatively isolated incident then the proper repairs would be done, and no bulletin issued. It might be worth calling GM about though.

The seat backs break on a lot of cars, I don't think it's recall worthy.

Yea, mine is the exact same way. Freely moves now. I just figured that if it did that at only 25-30, how back could it have been in an accedent like yours. The only thing that stopped mine was the back seat. The other thing that really worries me about Camaros are the lack of head rests. Who ever thought that up is an idiot. I have to lean my seat back a little to fit, and there is nothing behind my head.
