Should we sell now or just keep em?
I am just curious about the value of our cars in respect to the release of the new Camaro. The fourth gen LS1 equipped F-bodys will still fetch well over the blue book value, as we all know. But, can this all change with the release of the new Camaro? I feel that everybody wanting to purchase a Camaro with modern V8 power will look no further than the 09' when it is released, making our cars drop in value. What is everybody's take on this?

These cars will be worth less in '09 simply because they will be two years older.
Not everyone can afford a brand new $30k Camaro just to get a 400-450hp V8 engine in a nice looking car. But plenty of people can afford to spend $8-12k to get a 350hp V8 (with PLENTY of room to grow) in a nice looking car (albeit older). Therefore, there will still be a market for the 4th gen LS1 cars even once the LS(3?) Camaro is released.

Like RPM WS6 said....they won't be worth as much b/c of the age. Look at the difference in value of our cars between years with the exact same mileage. And if you ask me....I think the trans am may keep a little more value than the camaro if it doesn't go back into production cuz it'll be a slightly more rare car now with the new camaro coming out. Just my .02

The only 4th gen F-bodies that will truly hold value and significantly appreciate within the collector's circle over the years will be the VERY few '97 Camaro SSs and Firehawks built with the LT4. All the others are common by comparasion.
