Default Camaro too low for me?

Hey guys, i'm about 5'6 and i'm pretty short in my upper body.
I know that camaros sit pretty low and i'm not sure if i can see over the dash...
Can anyone move the seat to the highest point and measure from the seat to the top of the dash? It'd be a great help to me.
I know mustangs sit higher, and a mustang GT is an option, but honestly i'd rather sit on books in a camaro than drive a mustang
Also if it's any difference i'll be getting a 98+ camaro.
Thanks guys!

It would be a close call but my friend who is 5'0 can barely see over the dash to the front of the hood so i'd imagine with you being 5'6 you should have no problem seeing over the dash to the front of the hood.

If you get a camaro that has the power seats, i see no reason why you shouldnt be able to adjust it to where you could see. My mom has driven my car and she is 5'2

even still you could just make some small blocks and get longer bolts to lift the seat...

j/k

Plenty of shorter people drive these cars, just like others have mentioned a power seat goes up and forward pretty damn far.

Peace,
Craig.

Dude, that is comic gold!

OP - go buy yourself a Camaro. Visibility will not be an issue.

If you are short power seats are a must. I'm only 5' 7" and have power seats. You will have no problems seeing over the dash.

You'll have a false idea that it's you that's the problem with visibility. In reality you can't see much out of these cars period. My Camaros are better than my Formula visibility wise, but I doubt anyone on here can see the front of the car unless they are seven feet tall.

Yeah, I am 6 even and have never been able to see the front end of my F-bodys from the driver seat. It is the same way in my Vette.

The seat rises and moves forward ALOT!! I would assume an asian midget could drive it.

I have to move the adjustments all the way back and all the way down to drive it and i'm only 5'11"

I'm 5'4" and I have no problems at all, you'd have to be a giant to see the front of the car, and then you'd have to take the T-tops out to drive LOL.

5'3" here and no problems seeing over the dash. Although I do move the seat forward a few notches up to be able to push the clutch in all the way.

I let my sister learn how to drive stick in my car, she's 5 3.

I'm 5 10 and have no issues with visibility. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that the nose of the car is LONG compared to other cars. So turns in which you think the front may clip, probably will clip. It really messes me up when driving the Monte SS or my Accord as I think I can't clear when maneuvering when in reality because of driving f-bodies all my life there's plenty of space. Also steep driveways require coming at them from an angle for the same reason. Other than that, most cars you can't really see the front anyways, so what makes you think you should be able to in an f-body?
