STOLEN 1998 Camaro Z28!!!
Sold my old camaro to a guy who wrote a check on a closed account, just found out about it today, if anyone sees this car would you please pm me or, give me a call at 417-365-1523. The car has been reported stolen. Any information would be helpful... BTW guy does not have the title. Car is kinda unique, has a black primer ss hood, grey primer ss spoiler, hid's, lowered on c5 z06 wheels. and has a loud exhaust system.
Here's a picture of it.

guy must've printed off a check from themselves. what bank was this with? and surely the guy signed a signature to it or something?? My best friend lives in Miami, OK. I'll call him and have him look out around there. did this person say where he was from?
someone mentioned cashiers checks are bad too... there really are no problems with most of them as long as you call a # to verify it.

damn, sorry man. I've always figured if I was selling, I probably wouldn't even let anyone test drive it, but bring them for a ride in it, let alone letting them take it with a worthless personal check!?!?!?!?

-did you try calling the guy who bought it? (guy could have maken a mistake)
-do you know the name of the guy you sold it to
-did you see his ID?

Well I don't see how the bank could have said it was good check when you called and then turn around and say they never issued the check. I think one of 4 things happened.
1. Where did you get the number to call the bank? Because if he gave you the number he probably just had you call his friend and pretend to be the bank.
2. He forged the check completely
3. He knows somebody at the bank who issued a dead check
4. This is all an honest mistake (which I doubt)

Easy. Give a false bank phone number, and have someone in on it answer that phone, "First Vandalay Bank can I help you? Yes your check is good."
