DAMN looks bout right other than the no brand turbo....... i mean i see it being legite, theres no oil lines no fuel stuff. just hot and cold sides and cheap turbo that might run fine , or might not last.

Seems like it might be legit, but I wouldn't trust it. That's just me though.

Wow! For that price I'd buy it, resell the turbo to someone and buy a garret. Something about a no name turbo scares me a bit. Somebody buy this damn thing and see how it goes!

I think there has been a thread or two on these. I don't think the fitment is that good and those turbos are horrible from what I have heard, unless I am thinking of something else.

Ah the infamous red carpet ebay turbo kit. Do a search in the FI section, there are actually some people that have bought these and installed them.

It actually sold for one dollar short of eight hundred. It's a copy of the PTK kit for our cars. They work fine except for the ghetto turbo. There's tons of threads in the forced induction section. Try a search in there and you'll find a lot.

Looks tempting, but if it looks too good to be true, it probably is...

i searched ever thing i could think of...nothing on this kit pops up, they got great feedback on there kits.... from what i see, its a cheap turbo, but the hot side looks legite, hell ill pay 800 for a nice hot side, resell the intercooler cuz ill use a water to air, and build my own cold side, since it dont come with any. but id love to see a thread on a build with this kit, like location of the turbo..... anyone know of a thread with THIS kit???? dont make me buy this and do it myself

You must suck at using search. This was on the first page of the forced induction section:

What about buying the kit, selling the turbo to some ricer, and buying a GOOD turbo, like a garret, or turbonetics, or such? Then buying injectors, fuel pump, oil lines, clamps and all that. Or would it just be cheaper to buy a higher quality kit?

I've actually owned a real PTK kit. They look nice and perform well but they are a major pain in the ***. I actually didn't like the layout of how either the driver side or the passenger side re routes around the back of the engine and then hooks into the other side. I decided to sell it before even installing it. My buddy that i sold it to installed it and kept messing with it on a daily basis trying to tweak things and stop burning spark plug wires. He got sick of the rattles and scraping on minor things so he sold the kit and went back n/a. From what i've heard these kit's are of equal quality as the PTK kit and it's an exact replica. If you do happen to buy one DO NOT run that turbo that comes with it. They have been known to fail at any given moment. Other then that, don't forget that there is a LOT of things you don't think of when going to forced induction. Overall not a bad kit to start with though!
