Driver side window motor help!!!
Okay so my driver side window started slowing down to the point that it would only move an inch or less every ten mins or so. So i just installed a brand new window motor from NAPA in it a couple hours ago. It worked perfect and fast about one or two full trips up and down, then it slowed way way down to the point it also moves a couple inches then stops, just like the old one did. And yes i also greased it. Anybody have any ideas? Im tired of fighting this window!

it does the same thing whether radio is on or off, beginning to think its the regulator or something like that. I dont understand how it worked perfect a couple trips up and down and now it goes a couple inches, stops working, let it sit for a few mins, works for a couple more inches, and so on. I didnt adjust anything, all i did was put the new motor in.

i bought a NEW one from NAPA. And it is a Doorman. I was messing around with it a couple mins ago..and when i leave one of the window motor mount bolts kind of loose it works fine. When i tighten it, it slows it down and doesnt work. Weird i know, but whatever works i guess.

Interesting... If the window operates normally with the motor mounting bolts loose, you may check their length. If they are too long, they will scrape against the regulator arms and either slow down the mechanism or keep it from moving entirely.
If the motor is normal and good, you must have some resistance in the system that is causing the thermal cutoff to trip. (This is the same thing that normally happens when the glass is all the way up/down. The motor senses the additional resistance and shuts off.)
