Default Illuminating gauges problem

I need some advice and help. I was replacing the courtesy lights on the door handles in my firebird and as i was installing the last one on the drivers side they both went off. To make matters worse the lights on the rpm and speed gauge now no longer illuminate at all. What should i do?

The HVAC control lighting is on the same circuit as the other lights you were having a problem with.
