I took a drive to New Jersey. All the gas station threre are full survice by law. You can't pump your own gas. My ta was running on less then 1/8 so I told the gas attendent to fill it up with supper. He filled it up with regular instead.

What should I do. Is this ok just once. Should I just drive slow till the next fill-up. Will this cause the check-engene light to go on.

You'll be fine, dump in some octane boost if can't sleep at night and roll.

Just drive it normally. The computer will pull timing to prevent detonation, so you might be a little down on power, but just fill up with 93 (or 91, whatever's considered premium there) when you hit a half tank.

Octane boost is worthless - it doesn't do anything, let alone boost octane ratings.

So does the owners manual for our cars actually call for 91 octane or 92,93 or what? Seems like I remember it being 91, but wanted to be for sure.

the manual doesn't call for 92, 93 specifically, just unleaded I believe. A stock motor will run on 87, it'll just retard the timing and make it feel like a slug.

Seems like I downloaded a manual on my computer. I was thinking it said to use premium unleaded. I can't find it though. Wouldn't be the 1rst time I was wrong about something though. I filled mine up with 89octane the other day and I swear it ran like **** compared to using 91& up octane. Could all be in my head though. Or temps outside, humidity difference. Filled up on 92 today. It seems to make a difference. Makes me feel better. LMFAO

yall want bad. I about hit the little punk once. I drove up... say Premium.. HAS TO BE 93 Octane do you understand.

Then i watch him go to put 87 in. I went off. I was out of my car screaming at the little ****. I actually had to sit and watch him put the gas in. It is total BS because my engine is turbo and TUNED for NOTHING but 93 octane. Told the kid he would be buying my new engine if he fucked it up.

If anything , since your required to stay in the car and one of Gas Station "Techs" pump your gas. The gas station is the one to foot your bill.

Sheesh this is the stupidest thing I heard just like the "Genius" at the apple store.

I think its the DUMBEST thing in the world that you cant pump your gas in the whole state... i mean do they do it just to make sure that the POS jersey shore wannabes who cant get on TV have a source of income OTHER than drugs and prostitution?
