Exclamation Starting Issue! Please help!

I have a 2002 WS6 and I have no idea what is wrong with my car, 70% of the time it will start up first try. Then it will go through spurts where it doesn't want to start on the first crank but ALWAYS starts on the second. My idle seems to be at vary between 500 and 1000rpm. I'm not sure if that is normal or not.

Thank you!

Replace your ignition and starter relays.

Is the car stock? Has it ever been tuned?

i just bought it about three weeks ago, it is mostly stock, has an slp lid, k&n filter, and throttle body bypass. I do not know if it has been tuned.

I don't think I would start by changing a bunch of stuff out just yet. Check everything first. Could be a fuel issue. Is it throwing any codes?

no, it's not throwing any codes. I checked the lid to see if it was but on right and there are no air leaks.

My ignition relay went bad before. The car would act fine. The one day it wouldn't start at all. Swapped it and fixed it. It's an 8 dollar relay

check the fuel pressure at the fuel rail...i had a problem like that and put a gauge on the rail and found that my pressure was bleeding down.

His is starting, just not always on the first try.

As stated, check your fuel pressure first and go from there.
