IMO, just stick with a battery that's equal to the factory battery output and you should be good.

Take it in to wallmart. They give you some money for your old battery and they will pretty much replace your battery whenever it goes bad

Just about every stock replacment battery is made by johnson controls so its all what u want to spend I like to go as high as I can in cca's u just don't want to go under the minimal rating for your car

Never understand why people have something that works but absolutely must change to something else. You'll be disappointed in your next purchase more then likely. My Optima has been a trooper and I will buy another when its time.

I've seen a diehard platinum (sears) get shot by a rifle, break into two halves, pushed back together, then start the car. It's Probobly on YouTube somewhere. I think they use it as an advertisement. It's also absorbed glass mat, pretty sure the optima is too. Oh and the warrant is ridiculous. 48 months free replacement and 52 month pro rated. It's made by odyssey.

As can be said about so many other things... You get what you pay for. If it's fairly expensive, there's a reason for it.

There is no better battery. This is a post by ME, from awhile back about batteries when I was looking for a new one.. ....50 month free replacement.... Get the AC Delco 78-7yr.....its badass. Bennett Auto $109.00 with core exchange.

Yeah, I was considering the Die Hard Platinum...but for $190.00, thats just crazy. The AC Delco is stronger and comes with a longer 100% FREE replacement warranty. Also, they redesigned it from the last 78-7YR I had in there for 6 years...now it has caps you can pull off the top to check the water level. They still say its a truly sealed battery , but they can be taken off to check them. Plus it weighs 15 pounds less than the Platinum.

They upgraded it to 800 CCA from the old 750 CCA and it has the same 960 CA.

I spoke to Advance Auto and PepBoys...they said they get alot of the Optimas back. So forget them. Plus they are all weaker than the AC Delco.

.
