WTF is leaking all over my bay?
I had previously thought this was belt dressing used by the previous owner, but upon cleaning it all up REALLY good, it came back.
So what do you guys think it could be, it is very gooey, dried and follows the path of the serp. belt to a "T". Like it is getting slung off the belt. Color is a yellowy tan. Comes off pretty easy with liberal simple green. I'm guessing A/C Compressor lube, but it's a total guess right now. Coolant, Oil and trans fluid levels are all holding steady.
PICS.

I did not taste it, and its a bit hard to smell, because the only way to really get it off the engine is to spray it with a cleaner to break it down a bit, it's really sludgy. No drastic smell though.
A/C worked good, but the last we ran it could easily be 3 months ago. This is on a Trailblazer SS BTW.
Is there any way to check the oil level in the A/C compressor?

Same here. I have removed refrigerant from a few automotive systems and it is that greenish/yellow/brown color from mixing with the compressor oil. I cant think of any other fluid in the engine bay that looks like that. Check the A/C charge on your system with one of those small cans of refrigerant from the auto parts store with the built in gauge. If it is low then there you have it. Or better yet, you could take it to a shop that does A/C and have them pressure test your system. Shouldn't cost too much.

Anyone care to elaborate how one would check this? I mean where on the damper should I be searching for a leak? It's peaked my interest as I'm still searching for the culprit and right now, there are no signs that I'm losing coolant. When the engine runs, it seaps a little water out the bottom, problem is, there is a giant front diff brace that prevents you from seeing anything besides things just being soggy.
