Unhappy HELP WIFE's 05 GTO wont start

It left her stranded friday night after work. It wont even click when you turn the key. I hooked up the Diablo predator tuner to it and pulled out 2 codes

P0335
Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor Circuit
P0340
Intake Cam Sensor Performance

I replaced the crank sensor and inspected the harness, had the starter tested and battery is good. Still will not even click. completley dead. I have checked for loose grounds and have found none. Im lost and i really dont want to take it to the dealer if possible.

Do you have a test light to make sure power is getting to the starter?
Lights on dash come on and dim slightly when starting?
Aftermarket alarm?

Oh man that sucks I am really sorry. Only good thing I like about working at a shop is working on my own crap with heat and a lift when its dead.
Hopefully someone else will chime in that has had the exact same issue so you will have a few things to check.

Well crank sensor for sure but you ruled that out and I highly doubt a cam sensor could...try searching google for ls2 no start or search for those codes in relation to your problem.
If you have not figured out your problem by tomorrow when I go back to work I will check Identifix for you and that should help out a lot.

was inspecting old crank sensor and noticed oil in the prong housing enough to make a puddle. how would oil get past the connector insulation?

Forget about the Crank Sensor for now. That won't keep the car from getting power to the starter.

Is this an auto or manual trans? If manual, trying pushing the clutch pedal ALL the way down to the floorboard and see if it cranks. You could have a bad clutch safety switch which would keep power from going to the starter.

The diagnostics that CO99Z28Vert posted should help you out. Like checking the starter relay. I'm assuming the theft light isn't flashing?

Ok I will check the relay. I made sure I pushed the clutch pedal all the way down. Cause I thought that may be an issue, didn't change anything. The car symbol with the lock is flashing until you yurn the key on, then it goes away also i just went outside to check some fuses and noticed its saying (trac off) and it has never said that before

id also check the ECM, the neutral safety switch (where my money is at), or possibly a short somewhere.
