Default Window motor ?

Fellas,

Just wondering if the window motors that advanced or auto zone sell were good quality or cheap? The brand i was looking at was dorman?

Thanks

Dorman seems to be the best brand option at the moment. I replaced my driver's side with a Dorman 3 years ago and it's been fine ever since.

I replaced my passenger window motor with doorman worked good for about 2-3 years then started slowing down. So I installed a hot wire kit (direct 12v to motor instead of factory 5v) for the pass motor helped a lot window motor still working.

I replaced my window motors two years ago because the stockers were so slow. I just bought the motors that had the lifetime warranty.

This man speaks truth! Doormans are good motors and the relay kit for the passanger door works wonders and will extend the life of your new motor

Ive installed 2 different dormans and my third one will also be a dorman. You can get them anywhere and they have a lifetime warranty.

I've never seen a reason to do the hotwire kit myself. I just operate the windows one at a time, and voltage never seems to be a problem. In fact, the stock passenger motor has outlasted the driver's side motor by several years.

I got my second F-body last year and had to replace the DS motor within 4 months of having it. The pass is starting to slow down so she'll be going next. And I do the same one window at a time
