Source for door seals?
Just wondering if anybody has a good source for window seals? The drivers side window seal of my 2001 hard top seems like its done... You can fit a piece of paper easily between the window and the seal...
And while we're at it: any good resources for how to easily replace it?

The seal isn't your problem. If you have space between the seal and window, its probably this issue or a window adjustment problem: https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-m...-included.html

Ill have to double check... I think the window rolls all the way up but I'll have to see.
To me it looked as if the drivers side gasket was physically different from the passenger side. But I'll take a look in a bit.

Yeah, Definitely doesn't seem to be the same problem:
His appears to not seal at the top and side portions of the window, whereas mine simply doesn't seal at the side portion ( I believe it's the C-Pillar?).
The window simply doesn't press tightly against the seal at that position... I wonder if there's a way to build it out?

That rear roller is the part that keeps the glass engaged with the side seal. If that roller is good, you may be able to adjust the window back to where it should be - but that will raise the question how it got out of whack in the first place. While you are checking the back roller, take a look at the track and the attaching bolts to see if any are loose. (If your roller is indeed intact.)

That's good. This would be the next problem to confirm:

I guess it's time to start searching for a replacement... although I have no idea how the heck I'm going to get in there....

The threads I linked to had some options. Welding is a brave/chancy method but the folks who have done it seem to have had success.
If you want to replace the track and don't want to take it on, any local glass shop should be able to get the job done for you. (They would have to do similar work to replace the glass in the door and disconnect it from that track.)

There's a thread for that, too: https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-m...im-repair.html
Its a stress point, so failures are common. It would be longer lasting if reinforced a little more.

This thread has some people reporting they were successful in having the broken roller welded back in place: https://ls1tech.com/forums/general-m...w-related.html
