Default Problems with Denso 02 sensors?

I purchased the Denso 02 sensors that everyone says to get PN 234-4617 for LS1 Fbodies with LT headers. However, the ones I received had the incorrect plug. So after I spent the time to solder my old plugs on, the sensor does not thread into the header. The stock sensor I could turn in by hand but the new sensor I am unable to and I'm afraid I will strip the threads on my headers.

Has anyone had similar issues with their Denso 234-4617s?

They probably sent you the wrong part number, or it might have been misplace aged at the factory.

If you get the proper part it will fit.

There are multiple threads on tech to purchase the Denso 234-4617 for the longer wiring but I have determined these are the INCORRECT sensors for at least my 1999 Z28.

White is Denso black is stock. Although really close, the slot in between the pins are different causing the Denso to be unable to plug into the stock wiring harness. I went ahead and soldered the stock plug on the Denso only to find out the sensor will not thread into my LTs:

Threads also look very similar but I'm afraid to turn the sensor with a wrench since I am unable to turn it by hand. I would hate to damage the threads of my LTs.

Per the PN listed on the sensor itself #25312206:

I went ahead and cross referenced to this chart:

http://oskin.ru/pub/chrysler-dodge/m...sreference.pdf

and determined they did in fact send me the correct Denso 234-4617. However, I find it odd that this chart cross references this Denso sensor to the Bosch 13111 which I know is tried and true on these cars.

Yea, they should thread in very easily by hand. Densos are all I have ever used and they sin right in easy. Unless maybe the new Denso thread is messed up because someone else bought the wrong sensor and tried to use it and it wouldn't fit. Then they just repackaged it for sale again without checking the threads for damage.

How long are the wires on those new Densos....?

The wires are the long 12" - 16" or whatever like they're supposed to be. I specifically bought these so I didn't need extensions for my LTs.

These definitely do not turn by hand. My stock ones I can obviously turn freely till the very end.

The 2344617 should be 44 inches long.

2344025...... 16 inches long.

You have a sensor for an Oldsmobile or a truck.

I don't have them in front of me but I know the wiring is def. not 4ft. long.

If that is the case, you're telling me either the PN listed on the sensor is wrong or the previous cross ref. chart is wrong?

2344617 is 44 inches long. And the sensors you received have a different part number on them. So you have the wrong wires. They sent you the wrong wires.
