Question Low on Power!! Dont know why?

I recently started tinkering with my ws6 project car and did some basic fluid changes with help from my friend who knows a lot about LS cars. we changed the trans fluid and did a oil change. My friend drove the car and the car would lurch at low RPM as if the clutch was slipping....then the service engine light came on. we hooked up a OBD2 but no code came up? then the service engine light went off. but the car feels really low on power, Ill be going 5mph in 1st and stomp the gas and the crappy tires don't even chirp. While the OBD2 was on the MAF sensor was only reading half the time. Any ideas?

Car seems to lurch then go limp then lurch again when SES light is on, when light is off it drives fine, just slower than it should be

Disconnect the maf sensor then drive it like that, see if that fixes your problem.

From my experience with clogged cats once there warmed up back pressure builds then you'll have a sustained loss of power. Not just when your ses light is on.

It is sustained, even when the light is off and the car isn't lurching its still revs slow and feels slugish

Might be but rule out the maf sensor first because a misreading maf will cause it to act that way also.
