Enough time pass to smog 97 LT1 ?
It's that damn time of year again... Smog time!!! A few months ago the SES light came on but car was running perfect so I didn't pay it much attention.. After a few weeks the SES light went away...and came back a few days later... Then went away after another month or so...now it's been on for a couple months... Codes being thrown were p0140 and p0161....I disconnected both of the post O2 sensors and re connected them making sure they were secured... Then I cleared the codes... I have now driven my car approx 100 miles and they light hasnt come back on... Am I good to take it in to get it smogged? Will any codes come up even though the SES light isn't on? Thanks guys I appreciate the help

I don't know what state this is but if it's just a latent code, one that won't trip the light, you're fine. The only reason for it not to go through would be a sensor reporting itself as not ready, which is possible if you recently cleared the code and haven't gone through the drive cycle yet. Your state might not check for that though.

Drive cycle is just the series of tests the OBDII computer runs after the drive history is cleared to check if it needs to throw any codes... usually they complete themselves after 50-60 miles of highway+city driving but they also sometimes need a few cold starts to complete.
Here in CA, or LA County at least, they won't let the test go forward if 3 or more sensors aren't reporting as ready, but you should be good because I think the O2 sensor test is run pretty early on in the drive cycle.

Try this: clear the light and then take it to a smog place immediately. They'll hook it up to their computer and if it's only one of the O2 sensor banks reporting as not ready, then they'll be able to run it. If it's still reading not ready, they'll tell you that and they won't be able to run the test or charge you for anything... they'll just tell you to work it out and go do the drive cycle. I ended up sneaking mine through with 2 sensors not ready and it passed the sniffer with flying colors anyway.
