Default humming noise when turning

My 98 z28 started making a humming, squeeking noise when turning. I only hear it on a turn 90 degrees or more left to right when going at slow speeds. I thought maybe the power steering pump but it doesn't make that noise when stopped and turning the wheels...

Maybe your wheel bearings?

Wheel bearings can make all kinds of fun noises when they aren't happy.

Hard to tell without hearing it though.

Yes, they make different noises. It could be anything from a groan to a high pitched squeal. The tell-tale is that the frequency of the sound varies with speed and not engine RPM.

interesting because I just swapped by driver side end links to master pro. While they didnt have two sets of masterpro at oriellys I bought a Moog end link for the pass side, but it wouldnt fit. So I ended up putting the stock end link back on the pass side.

Which side is making the noise?
Are the new bushings polyurethane?
How much did you torque the end links?

Edit: Maybe the stiffer new bushing putting extra pressure on the stock bushing? The new bushing holds firm, the old bushing probably mushrooming out and moaning with that extra resistance under sharp turns.

drivers side is poly, pass side is stock so rubber. The sound does seem to be coming more from the pass side, but also a little from the drivers side. I cant recall how much I torqued them. They didnt start making the noise until a week or two after I put the one new one on.
