Lost both the 2 long bolts along with nuts on my torque arm/differential somewhere down road but made it home limping no damage so far car is in air on stands. Question is what size bolts and nuts should I use since I have a umi torque arm and mount? Im wanting grade 8 for sure. Thanks!

The OEM bolts for the OEM torque arm are M14x2.00x185 grade 10.9.
M14=.5516" 9/16=.562" so a 5/8 bolt might not go thru the housing.
185 length= 7.28".
Metric grade 10.9 is approximated by USA grade 8.

UMI shows 9/16 grade 8 bolts for the OEM factory 10 bolt. part #3003

UMI doesn't list/tell bolt length. You'd have to measure housing,upper & lower mount of arm and add enough for nut and washers.

This hardware can be ordered from an industrial supply company if UMI is out of stock. See picture attached.

The only thing I haven't found yet is the bolt torque

MadMax Here is the toque information I have for the two bolts that attach the Torque Arm to the Rear Axle. This is info for I have for my 2002 Z28 though it should likely apply to your car as well.

1. Position the torque arm (5) onto the rear axle (1).
2. Install the torque arm bolts (2), washers (3) and the nuts (4).
3. Tighten the torque arm bolts (2) or nuts (4).
   ^ Tighten the torque arm bolt (2) to 130 Nm (96 ft. lbs.).
   ^ Tighten the torque arm nuts (4) to 132 Nm (97 ft. lbs.).

Just thought I would mention for me I found that not 9/16, but rather 1/2 SAE Grade 8 Flat washers were a closer approximation to the stock metric washers. Pay attention when buying as there are USS washers but those are different (super wide).
The 1/2 SAE Flat washer inner diameter is just a hair smaller than the stock washer and the outer diameter is just slightly larger than the stock metric washer, but it fits over the bolt properly. Be aware the SAE washers were slightly thinner though (about 2.5mm instead of 3.0mm thick). This would only really be useful to know if you are just replacing the washers but keeping the bolts. If you are replacing the bolts and nuts as well at the same time then obviously you would just get whatever size was correct for the bolts.

I had noticed one of my washers was missing when doing the torque arm bushing, so I just went and grabbed a couple new ones for 50 cents. Here is a comparison shot I took when I went to the industrial hardware supply store. The stock metric one is in the center with SAE 9/16 on left and SAE 1/2 on right.
