Stripped lugnut won't come off!
Anybody have any tips or tricks to getting a stripped lugnut off? It's actually 90% off but the last thread or 2 is hung up and it just sits there and spins no matter which way I turn it. I tried prying the wheel forward to force it off but that's not working. Needle nose visegrips can't pull it off the last thread or 2. I've already chipped the paint on my white ZR1 wheel so I'm pissed about that. But at this point, I need to get the lug and the wheel off and I don't want to damage the wheel any more if possible. Any thoughts?

It looks like I'm going to have to get behind the wheel and cut the stud with a hacksaw blade by hand. The lugnut is just spinning on the last thread. I already have 1 stud that is crossthreaded from when I got the car and this will make 2 so the hub will be coming off as well so I can check everything out. I forgot to mention that it also just happens to be the keyed lug just to make things even more of a pita!

If you can get a cutoff wheel in there without messing up your wheel you might try to cut it off. Alternately, you might be able to grind off the stud head and punch it out from the back.
The wife's car had a cross-threaded nut on it and I was able to put some weight on it and break the stud. Then I was able to hammer out the stud from the front.
Whatever you try, be patient and work slowly and deliberately. No thrown tools...
