Default odometer panel

My odometer stopped turning,i think i need a new one.My question is if i purchase a new or used one can it be changed without any major problems,will my mileage be the same or will it be what the replacement reads since they are computered.

Default odometer question

My odometer stopped on my 99 T/A . My question is if i replace the instrument panel are there any major problems,are the miles on the computer or the panel. can it be changed .

i believe on all of the OBDII cars the mileage is stored on the PCM and the panel is just a display. Anyone else know for sure?

what year is your car? If you have a digital odometer PM, i can giver you a link to a place that replaces the odometers with a new LCD and will match the mileage from your old one. Let me know.

I just had my odometer do something similar.....go to all 8's. SLPhawk300 can you send me or post the info or website for that repair place you mentioned, thanx.
