Default Having some Seat Problems.

the seat belt holders on the side of my seats broke
so they are all up in your neck. Not comofortable at all.
Is there a place to order these from? Should I go to a dealer?

Eventually I just need to get a new drivers seat.... grey leather.

anyways, thanks for any help

Dealership sells them, junkyard, mall parking lot if someone leaves their car unlocked, etc...

Dealership is actually the cheapest place to get them, less than $10.

You have to use one of those star shaped bits to get it out, forgot which size though.

Default Help - Can't get the Seatbelt off - any ideas?

Well - i'm trying to replace my seatbelt restraint - but I can't get the seatbelt unattached from the floor to get the new one on....

I took the plastic cap off to get at the star bolt - I have the proper size, but the damn thing is rusted and won't turn to save its life... after 10 mins of trying to get it off to no avail i've given up.

I don't have any power tools - was trying by hand.

my other option was to take a saw to the restraint and make a place where I can slip the belt through that way...

Go back to the dealer and get the convertible seat belt clips. They are shaped exactly the same as the coupe clips, but have a little slit molded into them so you don't have to unbolt the belt.

Or do the BFP mod on that bolt.(Get a big ******* pipe and slip it onto your ratchet for more leverage).

haha BFP - I like that.

I think I might just make my own vert style seat belt clips. Thanks for the input.

Don't be offended...but did you try Blaster or WD-40? I had to replace mine but it came out with little effort. I was going to cut mine(because I'm lazy) but the bolt was easy so I did it right. There's no safety issue, it's just cosmetic/comfort so cut away if you have to.

LMAO..

When I read the title I pictured some guy sitting in his car wrestling around not able to get the seatbelt off.

Sorry.

Seriously, take a hammer and hit the head of the bolt straight on a couple of times. It will loosen up the rust and allow you to get it broken loose. That comes from years of working in a salvage yard. I'm rust's worst enemy.
