Default Is this coolant in my oil? Pic inside

Just checkin oil level today, opened oil cap for the hell of it and found this. Sorry for the blurriness but you can see what is going on, it looks like cheese.

I just changed the oil 1 week ago and old oil was fine.

Is this coolant in my oil? Why would coolant be in my oil?

pretty normal for the ls1 engines becuse the cap is not vented in any way.It the coldest part of the engine and tends to collect moisture. If you are not loosing any coolant you are fine.I've seen this so many times.

Yes I do a lot of short trips, very rarely do I go for a long drive. Everywhere I need to go is less than 3 miles away from my house. The car has not overheated at all (knock on wood). I will also check the coolant level as soon as my car cools down a little.

I'm confused, you changed the oil a week ago...was the cap clear then? Thinking condensation on the cap should be more of a white milky substance?

That crap is from improper venting on gms half. If you had coolant in your oil your oil will look like a milkshake

Just condensation, don't worry about it. Take that car out and hammer it!

Mine does the same thing, I only live about a mile from work so short drives tend to build condensation. It scared me at first too, it seems the catch can thing helped suck the moisture out. Ever since I installed it there has been no more pasty oil build up crap on the fill cap.
