Default how long did your water pump last?

Mine is starting to chirp at 81k
is this about when they go out?
I don't want it to fail on me on the highway, just wondering if I should change it now to be safe. Doesn't really leak anywhere I can see.

I got lucky when mine was goin out. I had it up on a lift putting a tranny cooler on and realized it was leaking. At the time I had @65k on the car.

I'm at 95k at still on the stock water pump, the chirping is most likely something else, my bet is idler pulley.

I replaced mine at 101k. I noticed it was bad when I had it off during my head install. I would turn it by hand and was rough and squeaked a little. So, might as well, and replaced it. Wasnt leaking or but was starting to squeal a little.

mine lasted 101K never noticed any problems then it started leaking pretty bad at 50-100 miles after the cam swap. Guess it didn't like the extra RPM.

My stock original water pump locked up at ~80K miles. The only real problem I've had with the car so far (95K/7 years). But it IS a wear and tear item, so I don't even consider it a "problem".

AFAIK, the only non electric, not stock LS1 pumps available are the LS2 (not sure if it is higher flowing) and the Evans which is higher flowing (or at least claims to be), and uses better bearings/pulley.
