I also just run the plain stock replacement. Its cheap & does its job. The filters that are supposed to be a very fine micron rating can end up gettin clogged & cause problems.

I always use WIX on my vehicles and have for years, as has my family and all there friends. Never done be wrong, and fitment is usually pretty good even on LS1's which are pain in the A** to put in.

I use FRAM on all my cars, They are still running fine. What's the advantage on running the "Long" filter?

Ain't nothing wrong with a FRAM, fact is: If you change your oil every 2,500-3,000 miles, any filter mentioned in this thread and a bunch more are perfect. You will have ZERO difference in engine wear regardless of which one you use. The long ones serve NO purpose either, that tiny bit of extra oil you can add does NOTHING for NOTHING. Just get the AC Delco, thats the one that was designed for the engine after all.

This question is like: "How do you break an engine in correctly" or "Which air lid is the best."
