High idle after mods
Car idles at 1300 after these mods. Ported throttle body from a sponsor here, throttle body bypass, free egr mod, and descreen maf. Car is a 99 Z28 with 6 speed. The rest of the car is stock. Before I took it for a 15 minute ride I sprayed Wd40 around and got no reaction when I got back it idled at 800. Then I turned it off and waited a minute. I turned it back on it idled back at 1300. Does it need time to relearn? I wiped off the IAC motor it was dirty. Should you be able to move it by pushing on it? I could not.

First of all do not spray wd40 around the motor, spray brake clean or carb spray. It sounds like a vacume leak to me. Did you send me the tb with the sensors on? There is an orange o-ring that is under the iac that might not be there. I would also check the idle screw, sometimes they move around when i port them. I can assure you that i dont take off too much, i have done over 200 so i am well aware what to do lol.
It could be something with your iac as well. you could try resetting it, then go for a 20 min drive and it will relearn its self. Tim

just noticed you did the egr mod as well, i am assuming that the plate is not sealing to the intake. check that first of all, The reason for a idle around 1300 rpm is a vacume leak, this has to be after the tb blade. If you car was say idleing at like 800-900, then i would look towards the tb. Tim

Smokin87TA, thanks for responding, I didn't fiqure there was a problem with the throttle body but I wanted let everyone know I may have messed something up reinstalling it. I will get something else to spray. I removed the iac and reinstalled it with the oring. I will let you know after spraying it again. Thank you.

Sounds like a vacuum leak as the other guys stated. Did you descreen the MAF yourself? Most guys here don't reccommend descreening because there is a very high chance of trashing it.

Well my car seemed to be relearning and was idling more at 800 rpm most of the time. Then it went back to 1400 rpm steady all the time. It got a light which came on and went off which I had read. Both banks rich condition.
I know this happened at about 45 mph in fifth gear. What is my problem?

I had this exact same problem over the weekend. I believe that I figured out that it was the bleed hole in the throttle plate. Did you port your stock or buy a new one? I put the old one back on and it idled fine. It only took me about 15 mins to switch them out again and that's the easiest way you'll figure out if it's a vacuum leak or not. Check out the thread.
