Default what the hell is this thing?

Pardon my MSPaint skills, I didn't have a digital camera and it's about snowing right now

I was clearancing (read: BFH) the bottom of my car and the one part that the duals still are closest to is a small protrusion from the bottom of the car. It's on the passenger side of the car near the trans. tunnel. Any ideas?

While I can appreciate your MSpaint skillz, a regular picture would be a lot more helpful Just so we can see exactly where it is/how big it is etc.

For the seat belts? That's what it reminds me of. Is there just one?

Yea I'll try and get out there today and see if I can snap a pic. What little clearancing I did seemed to have worked, even had my friend sit in the driver's seat and rev it a little and I looked and it wasn't hitting. But when he shut it off I got to see exactly how F'ed my motor mounts are

Looks like a reinforcement for a seat or seatbelt mounting bolt.

Yup its a threaded piece that backs up a bolt from inside the car. Not sure which one but you can see the end of the bolt. Make sure you can move or somehow modify the locatoin of that bolt before you bash it with the bfh.

Hmm ok. thanks, anyone else know exactly which one it is? I might just cut off the end of the threads so it sits flush so i dont bash it, but the bolt still resides...

Sounds like a good idea. Im at work so I cant look to see which one it is, but shaving a bit off sounds better than bfh if you can gt away with it.

Ok my buddy busted out the sawzall, cut about 1/2" off, it's still there, didn't touch it with the BFH, hit up the trans tunnel around it, duals back on and clearance is great. Thanks for the help
