Default Let see if anybody knows how to do this

My turn signal lever broke off inside the steering column, so I need to take the whole thing off to get it replaced.

The problem is I can get the screws around that white thing off because it is in the way,

Anybody know how the hell to take this white thing off?

Im tired of driving my brothers third gen , and I really want to get my car on the road again, THE WEATHER IS PERFECT

all ya need to do is stick a screwdriver in where your lever would go and move the switch up or down(just like your signaling to go left or right) and that will reveal the screws that your trying to get to.If you cant get a screwdriver in there you can also move the switch by hand.

Thanks for the reply but I think your thinking of somthing else, the actual lever its self is fine, where it is broken is deeper inside, I need to take that busted part out and its a huge PITA, if you look at these other pictures, you see what is broken, (just trying to make is easier for everyone to understand what im dealing with)

I found the cheapest place to get it was gmpartsdirect. It'll take 8-10 days to get it though. The part number is 26098535 for 2000-2002 and 26020950 for 1993-1999. The dealer wanted $156 for it (26098535). If yours is a 94, i think it's cheaper. I paid $98 shipped.

I looked at all those from GM Parts Direct, but there were no pictures so I dont know which one to get. I thought that they would all be the same but there are actually small differences between the 93-97 camaro and 93-97 firebird, do you know which number is for the 93-97 firebird?

I looked at the catalog at gmpartsdirect. It showed the same part, 26098535, for 93-02 firebirds. So I'd say that is the part you need. The info given before was for camaro only. I don't know the differences in the part numbers. To be sure, go to the dealer and ask for the wiper switch for a 94 and then get the part number. If you can wait about 2 weeks, order it on GPD. If not, it may be quicker to order it through your dealer but at a higher cost.
