Do you have a foam seal on the inside of your lid from a K&N filter in the past?

If so, then there is your problem. K&N is a shorter filter and has to have the foam weather stripping seal on the inside of your lid.

If you do have that foam stripping and want to continue to use the Fram, just peel it off.

Peace,
Craig.

Some people don't even realize they have this gasket, if they bought the car used and the previous owner installed a K&N.

Maybe jond99 is right, maybe you have the wrong filter then?

Peace,
Craig.

I dont have the K&N gasket on my blackwing because my lid barley closes with the K&N filter. Do you recomend I buy a gasket and force it to fit? What does everyone else use with their K&N?
