Default Another window motor gone

My passenger side window motor just went out, did some searching an I think I can do it myself. Go to AZ get a new motor and follow one of the guides I found. My only question is how do I know if I need just the motor or the motor and a regulator?

All you need is the motor - I used shoebox's guide.

ITS EASY. the hardest part is finding a drill bit the right size to drill out the rivets. just look at the pictures and you just guestmate alittle if your lines up. and slowly drill till its open enough for you to take a smaller bit and drill out the rivets. once that is done. the rest is just putitng the new motor in place and using the screw and nut and tightening it in. also probly a good idea to clean the rails and gear. spray some white silicon grease on their to lube it up some

You might find it's already been drilled/replaced before if you didn't get it new, my passenger side went out at 17K.

so did mine, and it sucked b/c it stopped with the window down about 2 inches and it wouldn't budge until I changed it...

as far as doing it yourself, have some patience, and it shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Ok after work I went to AZ and they actually had the motor in stock! Came home with the intention of waiting till next weekend to do it, well after I printed the shoebox guide I decided what better time than now. That guide is great I got the job done in about 2 hours, the hardest part is getting the damn door panels off an back on without breaking anything. But overall the job was easy if you can change your oil you can change your window motors. But without the shoebox guide honestly id be way to intimidated to try it. But all is well an thanks to all that replied to my thread.

Post 100 beers on me fellas
