Default A horse-drawn wagon going over cobblestones?

This is the best analogy I can make to how my car sounds when I'm moving slowly. If I'm going around or under 20, especially with my foot off the gas and I'm just coasting, my rear end sounds like a wagon wheel going over cobblestones. The car doesn't necessarily SHAKE like it is, but that's pretty much what it sounds like. I hope it's not my rear end taking a ****. It's embarrassing, I mean crap, you can hear it from inside and outside the car and it makes my otherwise sexy Trans Am look like some jalopy a redneck doesn't have the money to properly maintain.

I just had a shop change the rear end lube so I didn't get a chance to see if anything was messed up in there, but I'm pretty sure the guy I take it to would have told me when I asked him if there was anything to be concerned with.

What the hell could this be?

Do you have aftermarket LCA's (lower control arms)?

A horse-drawn wagon going over cobblestones?
Not sure what that is.

But if it sounds like coconuts rolling down warm gravel. Then it's the rear end.

I have the same problem. I do have poly/rod PHR & LCA, but the noise started before them. They didn't cause the problem, they just help transmit more into the cabin.

Haha that's a good question.

So nobody knows what this could be? I have a feeling my rear end is taking a dump, too. I don't know if this is related but here's something else: If I mash on the gas from a stop, I get a loud clunk from the rear before I start moving and there's a little bit of hesitation. This also happens when hitting the gas going around a corner or hitting it from a roll. It's a pretty loud clunk, it sounds like something hitting the undercarriage but I don't see why that would be it.

Any ideas?
