O2 Sensors
Hey guys, I posted awhile back that Ive a rough idle and some sputtering at low rpm and was told it could be the O2 sensors.
Im not exactly sure how to replace them, and was wondering if peeps could let me know. Like where they are/where to get new, etc
Ive a 99 Firebird, v6 :/
Thanks!

Go to your local autoparts store like autozone, napa, checker, etc etc they should have them there, if not they can order them. Not 100% sure about the V-6's but I would assume they would be similar to the ls1's. There should be two in the manifolds, and two in the y-pipe after the cats.

On the V8s there is one on each manifold and then one on each side of the Y-Pipe. They can be removed and replaced with a 7/8" wrench, if I recall correctly.
About four years ago I find some for as cheap as about $55 on the net.

So id need 4 sensors, at 60-70$ each? :< Cant really afford that..
I no longer have the SES light on because I reset the computer, If I take it to Autozone and get it scanned (75$), would they be able to tell me which actual sensor is bad?
Would save me 120$ or so if its only 1..

I filled up, and the sputtering reduced to almost unoticeable, but the SES light was still on, so I reset the cpu because I had a very long trip I had to take that day :/
But I will take it to autozone after the near year to get it checked and will post back

Alright so I took it to AZ. At first the SES light was not on, and all they said was that it passed and that its fine..
But then I drove a bit more and the SES finally came on, so I took it back and the scanner gave it P0300 cylinder misfire
Not sure what it means.. if im not able to do anything Im just gonna have to take it to a mechanic :/ tired of this

Figured I would post what it actually was..
The distributor cap was bad! And I needed a new serp belt. :\
Good thing is it was only 150 to fix so, cant complain.
