Default steering wheel lights

I bought a 99 TransAm and the steering wheel radio controls work but do not light up when the headlights are on. Can you replace the switches on the wheel or the bulbs?

Do they even have lights in them? should be easy to replace the switches.

same problem here i didnt think the lit up till one night the left control was lit up then it stopped i dont know how to fix it though.

They do have backlighting you have to replace the button assembly to fix it the lamps are non serviceable.

damn how do you get them out of the steering wheel? has anyone just taken them off and some how filled the holes?

The bulb in the switch can be replaced.

Ok so i just did it havnt plugged them back in though so hopefully it will work!!!

very awesome i hope it works i didnt even know those lit up till that one day they just came on! then went off again but hopefully now they will both look good
