Default idle problem.

sup guys,Well i hit 100,000 miles and having a idle problem. It would set at 7-800 rpms and jump up to 1,000 then back down. I am saying it is vacuum leak for sure but dont were. I replace the iac already so u count that out.

i took the egr pipe out of the intake and cut it. the pipe o-ring isn't that simple to seat. i'm almost positive that mine is leaking there. you might as well try it. it's only like a buck.

I remove it put a plug in place but, that was a while ago. It started week ago i think it is intake leak or a map senor.

The map senor located on the back of the intake manifold right? I will take the manifold off this weekend check for leaks and cracks.

Check the rear line going from the drivers side valve cover to the PCV valve, behind the intake. Mine was completely corroded off at both ends. Also check that the line going to the TB isn't cracked or overly worn. Also i see you have a 98. I would check the EGR seal going into the intake. Thats a very likely culprit. Good luck!!! I know first hand how much of a bitch it is to track down a vacuum leak.

cool just make sure you block off everything so you don't make the issue worse.
