Default my new T/A squeaks and clutch grabs too soon

i just bought my 98 t/a yesterday and for some reason it almost seems like the water pump is squeaking every now and then, it doesnt do it all the time, just randomly. also the clutch in it grabs right away, is there any way to adjust it?

the same thing happened when i got my car! i remember the first day when i tried to shift at high rpm from 1st to 2nd and the tranny was just grinding, and the clutch was grabbing right off the floor! i took a look at the clutch fluid and it was the nastiest thing i ever seen! it looked like motor oil thats been in an angine for 20,000 miles!! so just clean the reservoir foe now until you get to flushing it completely form the bleeder screw! i dought you have an upgraded master, but i can be wrong! so just check the fluid for now

98s are known to have faulty pulleys for the tensioner or the idler, I forget which one. I'm leaning towards tensioner. 97-98 only though

i got the clutch problem resolved, the fluid was jet black, i sucked most of it out and put new fluid in, does anyone know weather its the idler or the water pump?
