No its not too hot,as long as you don't go in the red part your okay, probably from the factory your good to 225.Did it get any hotter than 210,if so i would check to see if your fans are coming on.

There's cheap ways to run cooler. Where do you live?

Sitting in traffic my car gets to 210, it's nothing to worry about. Once you get moving again the temperature drops. The 98 LS1 cars have a temperature gauge that reads accurately, the 99+ cars have a gauge that automatically reads 210 unless it overheats. Your car is fine.

I think 210 is as hot as I would wan't my Camaro to get.

I was going to get the fans tuned to kick on at a lower temp, but I just went with a SLP fan switch. I just kick it on when I think the car is too warm.

My engine never gets anywhere near 210, its rare for it to get over 185 no matter how I drive it. Only way it'll get near 210 is in heavy traffic on a hot *** day with my A/C cranking.

Drain your coolant system completely. Then add 1 bottle of water wetter, half a jug of Dex Cool, and the rest distilled water.

You will run much cooler. Then when winter comes around just drain out about a gallon and fill with Dex Cool for the the winter months.
