What Brand of Engine Oil Do You Use?
What brand of engine oil are all you guys using? I was using Mobil 1 0W-30 Fully Syn, but now am using Mobil 1 Extended Performance 5w-30 Full Syn.
I'm not overly impressed with Mobil 1, just curious what you guys are using.

I used Amsoil 5w-30 Synthetic. Love it, seems to have gotten rid of that infamous Ls1 tic that haunted my car
It's a little more expensive but that's all we used in the shop I used to work at when people wanted to make "the switch" to synthetic.

Moble 1 is NOT a fully synthetic oil; it has been made from a Dino base for several years.
Unfortunately, this was the result of a lawsuit Moble brought against Penzoil who used Dino oil and labled it for sale as synthetic. Apparently, Moble lost the law suit and since it cost more to make synthetic oil they just switched to Dino based oil and kept the same Moble One name.
I used Moble One for years until this happened. Now I use Dino oil.

TONY: I think I know what's goin' on here, and I just wanna hear it
from you. But I want you to be straight with me. Don't lie to me, Jerry. You know
that motor oil you're puttin' in there? (reproachful) From one of those
quicky lube places, isn't it?
JERRY: Well, I change it so often, I mean to come all the way down
here...
TONY: Jerry, motor oil is the lifeblood of a car. Okay, you put in a
low-grade oil, you could damage vital engine parts. Okay. (holds up component)
See this gasket? (throws it down) I have no confidence in that gasket.
JERRY: I really wanna...
TONY: Here's what I wanna do. I wanna overhaul the entire engine. But
it's gonna take a major commitment from you. You're gonna have to keep it under
sixty miles an hour for a while. You gotta come in, and you gotta get the oil
changed every thousand miles.
