Guys that have made there own true duals
Well I can't really find an exhuast that I want so I'm thinking of making up my own true duals with a box of mandral bends. I'm just wondering how many bends you guys have used to do this. I'm only going to about the front side of the rear axle but it won't be dumped. Anybody out there made up there own exhuast?

i used the summit univ Xpipe setup. then a little extra pipe to connect the driverside collector up. on most ls1 headers the driver side angles out towards the left of the car. so i had to get a minor bend there. i also had to run a minor bend down directly off that collector. the flowtech headers tuck up really well. you can't run straight back off the collector due to frame interferance.
so i had to angle down for the first few inches, then bend in to meet up with the leg of the Xpipe.
here is the down bend
and the whole setup, you can see the front bend a little

wow not bad. ive been trying to find a shop around me to do this but no one wants to do it, or do it without cats. i even called mufflex and they told me it couldnt be done, i thought they could do anything guess not. if i knew how to weld i'd try making my own too.

Here is pic of my home made TDs.. My main goal was to make it tuck up really nice. This was before I welded on some turndowns onto the mufflers...
I made mine from the 2.5" Flowmaster U fab it exhaust bend kit and a couple Sweet thunder mufflers using an H pipe setup. Sounds great, its silly loud at WOT lol, and I have plenty of clearance as well. Here is the lowest part of the exhaust.

Looks pretty damn good for a first time. I would be happy if mine came out about that good. Mine should be a hellava lot easier becuase I don't want to run out the back. Did you make your own X? I would like to keep the pipes as equal as possible for the best sound but I guess we'll see.
