Default Update* UMI Shift Handle Upgraded With Short Stick

I posted my install of my new UMI shift handle I got from our great sponser "Marylandspeed" last week. Everyone who commented on the finished project agreed that the handle on the stock hurst shifter stick was much to long, I thought so as well, so I took everyone's advice and upgraded to the UMI short stick. What a difference, I can bang through gears faster and with a firm feel. When I took the stock hurst shifter off I could see why from comparison it was so much more spongy. The hurst stick has like a rubber grommet thing it goes into so when you go into gear the rubber peice cushions the shift and makes it feel smoother. The UMI handle is a direct fit, metal to metal, and you can actually feel the shifter engaging, I'm very happy with it, definitely a nice little bolt on! I think it looks a lot better now that its shorter as well. The first pic is of it with the stock hurst stick and handle, the second is with the stock hurst stick and my new UMI handle, and the last pics are of the new UMI stick and UMI handle. Let me know what you guys think.

You can even cut those threads down on the UMI stick and make it even shorter. I've chopped as much as all the way down to 4 threads left on the UMI stick. That combo literally requires a simple flick of the wrist for each shift

Yup, I have a similar handle from somewhere else and I LOVE it. I have the Pro 5.0 with a short stick though and its still a little to long for my likings though.

Oh yea, way better angled! Feels like the shift handle is right next to your leg and puts your wrist in a more natural position instead of having to reach over so far.
