Default LS6 now or 90/90 later?

Just need some reassurance that the purchase of a homie hook up $300 LS6 intake manifold will be a nice SOTP difference for the 80mm cold air setup before i spend the cash. Im nervous that ill be pissed with myself for not waiting & just getting a used90/90 later (much later). To wait or not to wait? That is the question - & no i dont plan on doing anything more for at least a year if i get the IM.

if money is in the pic.. and no heads anytime soon then go with ls6...

if your on stock heads the 90/90 isnt going to help THAT much more over the ls6..

when you get different heads then the 90/90 is going to really outshine the ls6....

with a cam you gain like 40% over the already suggested gains.

Honestly i'd just wait. Save that 300 and put it towards a 92/92 combo. Mine made 32rwhp over my ls6 intake on stock heads and a cam just to give you and idea. Still saving for the AFR's though.

Well, considering any used LS6 intake is going to fetch $300 every day of the week, it's a no brainer. Get the ls6 intake, enjoy it now, when you go with heads and cam later on, you can always sell the ls6 for the $300 you have in it and buy a better intake. So you're basically putting a deposit on the intake that you'll get back later.

This link will show you how to do the Z06 intake change and at the bottom of the article there is a dyno graph showing the gaines the Z06 intake produced....as was stated before by The Alchemist the Z06 intake will always bring $300 if you want to sell it...someone will buy it in a heart beat when you put it up for sale..it is a sound investment and on stock heads you will pick up a nice gain for the $300 you spend.

The LS2 intake is arguably no better than an ls1 intake from what I have read. Plus the ls2 intake won't work with an ls1/ls6 since the ls2 intake has rectangle ports and the ls1/ls6 heads are cathedral ports.
