Default Help me decide which ported TB

I'm having trouble deciding between the Jantzer ported stock TB or the one from The Powder Pro. They both look the same to me. What do ya'll think? Also, I'm not getting it coated or anything.

I just noticed that it looks like the Jantzer TB gets epoxied, I don't want that so I guess I'm going with The Powder Pro. That was easy. lol

Well, I guess I'll have to call them and ask because the ones I was looking at had epoxy on them. So, I guess the question still stands then which one would ya'll go with assuming the Jantzer isn't epoxied.

I was looking at these two because they are both about the same price, around $70 and I tought I read that Bo White didn't do them any more. I'm starting to lean toward Powder Pro because I have read more about how good they are lately.

Just got mine back from RevXtreme (CNC ported). I'm VERY happy. Fantastic throttle response. Don't know about power gains though since I did LT headers at same time.

$129 plus core. Same day turn around...just factor shipping time & cost.

Yeah I looked at those and they do look bad ***. Thats just more than I wanted to spend. If you factor in shipping to RevXtreme and back then thats about $160.

Man this is tuff. So now i guess the question is is the extra cost of the RevXtreme TB worth it?

I'm realy digging the claims that RevXtreme made about HP gains with there TB. I may just have to spend the extra bank and go with that one. Thanks for the help.

Thanks for the props guys

I am not sure how a CNC program could be any better. Some porters use a lathe to remove the ridge but the rest needs to be done by hand.

I am far from an expert on CNC machines though, I don't know what their capabilities are exactly in terms of shaping and blending the bowl of the TB of that would still need to be done by hand.

The Jantzer is not epoxied. Many many Jantzer Tb's are on the road with happy customers and great results. I carry the RevX cnc'ed version as well.

i CNC will be more consistent, that is why 95% of all heads are done on one...

If anyone wants to shoot over a rev extreme i will flow test that vs. my bo white p&p and there will be no more guessing...

obviously i will send it back when finished

Understood. On the flipside, porting a stock TB is far from rocket science. Its practice and persistence and having a good eye/hand more than anything. I believe my work to be rather consistent
