when you go higher in the cubes, the duals will show more gains. On stock cubes, it shouldnt really make much difference. Most people do it for the sound

so..id say go with the duals

GRB, I used to run true duals on my heads/cam setup. They were mated to a set of SLP long tubes. I switched to the GMMG and picked up/lost nothing in power or torque. I was actually quite surprised.

Im sure with your C5R setup and added cubes you would benefit slightly more than I. If it were me I would order ( or custom make ) a Y pipe similar to QTPs with the dual cutouts and run it like that. Open headers are always another option for best NA power

oh my god, did you just say there is no hp difference between the full lt's, y, and gmmg vs the true dual setup with bolt ons, heads and cam (basically stock cubes, n/a)?

if that is the case, i am getting a gmmg right now. i wanted to put together a custom dual setup cuz i wanted more power out of a bolt ons g5x2 setup, but im staying stock cubes, so would you say the gmmg is safe?

What's the GMMG? Also, Was your true duals mandrel bent? Was it a 2 1/2 or 3 inch set up through the X pipe. Unless, the GMMG is a 3 1/2 or 4 inch catback, I really doubt it could out perform a mandrel bent 3 inch into Borla's, Dynomax, or MAgnaflows with 2 1/2 out ther rear.

Also, true duals don't have the nasty rasp our dual into single into dual exhaust has. I am going to duals for that sole reason. My friends say my car has very little rasp compared to other cars but it sound like **** to me. True duals all the way.

If you have the cash opt for the duals, The sound is much better and no rasp which is good. I'm sure with a cutout and a

Duals are cheeper too. You can go to a dual setup for about ~$450.

I ran a Dr Gas 3" Xpipe with 3" Dynomax Bullits and dumps. All mandrel bent. Dynos were on different days, but the power didnt change. Sorry to upset you guys who have duals. Im not badmouthing them. Mine sounded great. Ground clearance sucked on my lowered car though and the cops didnt like em much either. The fact I didnt lose any power and Im now legal with the local cops makes it worth while to me. Not to mention the GMMG sounds badass and is much more pleasing to the ear inside the car. To each his own, Ive had both..........

that is not fair!
one uses chambers, the other uses fiberglass packing (how crappy)
what about true duals w/ chambered mufflers i.e. stainless works or SWEET THUNDER? has anyone compared a true dual sweet thunder setup to a long tube gmmg setup?
im talking sound here
im going with one of these setups!
