TSP vs. SLP LM1
What do you guys think sounds better? Ive now got the TSP rumbler and i think its just as loud as the LM1 at WOT but at idle its a little more tame, and doesnt attract negative attention. But i want some oher opinions. What would you choose, given the price, and the product.

well from what i hear, the dyno bullet helps calm it down compared to doing the full exhaust with the lm1. i would consider the magnaflow personally if ur gonna get a catback for ur lt's/ory. it sounds lsick at all types of rpms, idle or WOT. Thats my opinion. just tryna help you out.

yeah i need the help. im stressin out more than i should. i cant keep running it open cutout it sounds like crap unless im WOT and thats gonna get me busted. i dont wanna spend much i cant believe how expensive catbacks are theyre so simple. TSP rumbler and the Jegs catback are both 250 so im considering those two.

well theres a thread in this board about a jegs cat-back. i heard it once, it sounded nice but it was on a bone-stock 96 lt1. i would say go with what u know, the tsp. that or maybe u should look at just getting a muffler. U could get the Magnaflow muffler off the cat-back for 135 bux. i mean, the cat-back is only a 1/4 inch bigger pipe. it wont make the 300 buck difference lol

slp idle is sexy. its loud, but i've never had any negative looks. its not THAT loud. Theres some Mustangs around me that must have straight through duals or something. They are much louder than me, and sound awful. They get bad looks even at idle.
My neighbor has a lt1 with longtubes with a non straight through catback and its much, much louder at idle and cruising down our road. His engine is stock too.

Slp sounds amazing if its on the stock manifolds and cats. If youhave headers and an ory its way to LOUD and sounds like complete shiz! Would not suggest get the two combo but with the rest of the stock exhaust it sounds great. Why not try a borla or a gmmg. They are more expensive but bad *** sounding exhaust.

Yea, I've got the exhaust setup in my sig and it's crazy loud and when I'm cruzing at just the right RPM it sets off car alarms
The sound at WOT is sounds amazing, it's louder than any other car around. All you can think about is damn, that's loud!
But around 2000-2500 RPM it's got some serious rasp that sounds similar to putting a ruler on a desk and slapping the end... if that makes any sense.

Wont be much help to you til it gets warm cause my car is put away in storage for the winter. But, i ran the TSP Rumbler last summer and loved it. Just ordered a tsp off road y pipe and headers and will install them as soon as the car is back on the road.

I myself love my setup of SLP Lt's, ORY, with Borla with the full open plate. It's got a very nice rumble at idle. It does have some rasp between 2000-2500 rpms but I personally love the obnoxiously loud sound. I have yet to install any of the other plates on it, but I might just to try it out. FWIW, I have had quite a few mustang owners compliment me on my exhaust.
