Default Best intake when it comes to nitrous use.

I've been doing a little reading, and although I wanted an LS6 intake, apparently using juice could lead to me damaging a plastic intake.
So out of the metal intakes, what one is best for a nitrous set-up? Are any coparable in power to the plastic ones? The engine will also have stock 243 heads, and a mild cam as well.

A Fast intake with some burst panels is you're best bet, here is a picture of them.

That BBK is a sharp looking intake but a FAST will make more power.

The fast intake might be over kill with stock heads, and a small cam, I'd rather spend that extra money on headers. But I did not know you can make plastic intakes blast proof... learn something new everyday.
The BBK has crossed my mind but I heard they don't make much power over stock?

they say a Wieand Street Warrior Intake Manifold's powerband runs out after 6250 rpms, does the fast do the samething to or will it make power past 6250 rpms?

The burst panels on the fast wont keep your intake in one peice if you have a backfire while spraying. I found this out first hand. I would look for a used weiand for your setup. They can be had for little $$$.

vic jr.

keep in mind the lean #7 condition all of those crossover style intakes will cause, unless of course you use a direct port kit..

Just tune the car right, DO NOT spray over 150 if it's a plate kit and a a LS6 or FAST LSX is fine and the burst panels are BS, Its still going to blow the MAF out.

There are some sheet metal intakes that go for big $$$ and for ANY intake the best kit would be a direct port.

There are plenty of people here spraying stock manifolds that have had no issues.

lol, that bbk ssi looks ******* brutal above, I bet with the port work its a good upgrade over the LS6 and all the "heatsoak" issue people bitch about is nil.

I'd run an LS6 until over 100 HP shot.......the FAST with burst plates can still be disentegrated with a good enough shot....the vic JR seems to be the best bet for high HP nitrous use.

Use a BBK or Typhoon. This is what happens to a composit intake after a N/O back fire
