exhaust cut out
I have searched and seen some threads. But still wanted a better answer. I have a 1998 z28 with pacesetter longtubes, pacesetter off road y-pipe and a magnaflow muffler. I also have 1 cutout right infront of the rear passenger cut out. When the cutout is open the car feels slower then when it is closed, Both take off and top end. Maybe its just in my head. but anyone ever had a problem like this?

Thats a myth that you lose tq when its open. You are not slower. The cutout being loud just throws your senses off. Go to the track and see the et difference. Its there and with a gain.

i dynoed my car with the cutout open and closed. at the time of the dyno the only mod i had was slp lid, smooth bellows and k&n filter. I was on stock exhaust. dyno was on a dynojet

now with the mods i have now i redynoed it with the cutout closed and then open on a mustang dyno
