Default Header bolts/studs

Okay, stock bolts are junk stretch twist and break off seems like everything I find to replace them with is stainless and I don't want to use that on aluminum heads either. Anybody know where you can get some good chrome moly header bolts or studs?

I went with that, pricey, but man when installing headers, they were a god send! I just hung them up and tightened it up. No fishing to catch a thread.

I actually went down in the garage and was addressing this problem yesterday, I have come to realize that I think my new ARP cam retainer plate bolts are the same thread as the header bolts. Wasn't in there long enough to check but I will today if that is the case then at $7.99 a set for around $24 bucks I can have enough. I will keep you posted on that one. I just don't see why the hell they want to make them all stainless so they can get stuck in the heads and never come out. That is just the nature of stainless and aluminum.

I have been running stainless arp studs for the past 4 years with no problem. I have removed and reinstalled my headers 4-5 time too. I use hi temp antiseize on the studs and they come out of the head with ease every time. I also have never had any problem with them getting loose with the use of antiseize.

the cam bolts are the same size as the header bolts. front cover, rear cover, oil pan... all of those are the same thread.
some are 20mm long and some are 25mm long. there may be a grade difference too.
