Default engine vibration

I have a camaro m6 that vibrates with no load on the motor I've changed all pulleys including the harmonic balancer. Above 1500 is when it vibrates the worst could it be the flywheel and clutch?

Do you think it could be your mounts?

i have poly mounts motor and trans. plus its not a driving issue its more or less something thats there all the time something engine related. balancer is what i thought for sure it was but now im thinking its going to be the flywheel and clutch. Like i said before its weird no miss nothing. I have a ls7 clutch but its been in there for a while so im kinda clueless.

so i took the clutch out it looks brand new. the flywheel and pressure plate surface look good. my question is can u start the motor without the transmission in. if so that would eliminate the clutch/flywheel problem if it still vibrated.correct?

Mine started vibrating after my LS7 clutch. I really just ignore it. If someone asks what it is, I just say power, lol.

But seriously, I've actually been looking for it for a while, I'm like 90% sure its NOT my clutch.

Mine did that when my clutch/flywheel assembly was out of balance. Was only resolved after my LS7 clutch/flywheel. Did it REALLY badly with my RAM flywheel/clutch and somewhat less with the SPEC 2+ clutch (balanced assembly).

ok so here's where I am right now. Trans is out clutch is out car starts and vibrates above 1000 Rpms. All pulleys have been changed. Oil changed in the motor and I cut the filter open and it's clean. Any ideas?

is the flywheel off the back of the motor? maybe the poly mounts are just being too harsh although mine don't vibrate as you describe. maybe it's an internal problem.

rotating assembly balance, rods, pistons, etc? all lifters and valves opening properly, i know its hard to not adjust the rockers correctly, but maybe a bent pushrod or somethin not letting a valve open completely or at the right time? one valve not acting properly could really make some vibration. is flywheel off motor completely?

How do you start the motor without the flywheel? The mounts won't cause the vibration, just amplify or dampen it depending on which mounts are in it. Is the engine hitting on all cylinders? Even if a compression check shows good numbers, a cylinder could misfire or not get any fuel, causing a dead miss and a vibration. I would start by checking to see if each plug is getting fire and if that is not the problem, I would start looking at fuel related issues.

Find someone who has a stock flywheel and swap them out real fast. If it still vibrates its interally off somewhere or its the mounts. Mine started vibrating about 3 weeks after my poly trans mount. I just deal with it.. if something breaks thats an excuse to build bigger..

thanks for the input guys. Heres where i am at so far

replaced: balancer
Checked:
did a compression check all around 150 one was 148
changed plugs and shot each exhaust tube with a heat gun all around 160's
took my friends fuel rail of his car with 34k miles and used hsi injectors all were good
changed oil and cut open oil filter no metal shavings

car vibrates still without transmission in the car. Only thing i know left is change flywheels and see what happens. This ordeal just happened out of the blue the clutch that was in it was in the car for 7k miles and has no signs on the flywheel or pressure plate of hard spots. this is a long shot but could it be possible the computer is messed up and when ur at higher rpms above 1000k where it vibrates maybe the spark table in the computer is off? Im just throwing that out there im really clueless to whats going on it just doesnt make since the vibration is from something rotating though because its intermitant. A gm certified tech is coming to my house tommrow to see if he can figure it out so if anyone has any ideas or has been through this ordeal before please post some info.thanks
